Private Music Lessons for K-5th grade are offered on site in piano, violin and guitar.  Students will learn to play an instrument in the context of half-hour, one-on-one weekly lessons which take place in PS41 classrooms.  Teachers nurture each student's ability to play, developing skill with knowledge and expression.  Lessons culminate in an end of the semester recital after school at PS41.  Pick up in the yard at 3pm if needed.  Start date: 9/26/16

Tuition: For a 16 week semester = $880+$25 yearly registration fee

Suzuki-based Violin Classes for K and 1st Grade are also offered on site by PS41 violin teacher,  Minda Cowen.  Children learn the basics of violin playing in a fun, nurturing and non-competitive environment that develops musicality, improves overall concentration, and fosters sociability.

Tuesdays, 3.15 to 4.15pm, is a Suzuki-based violin class with optional parent participation (starting Sept 27th) and Thursdays, 3 to 4pm, without parent participation (starting Sept 29th).  Children will be picked up in the yard.  For more details and a registration form, please email

*A limited number of school violins are available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Otherwise, parents will be told where to rent one at a discounted and reasonable rate.

Tuition: For a 16 week semester for either class=  $480 + $25 registration fee (no extra charge for parent participation).
