PS41 - Green Roof
PS 41's Green Roof Environmental Literacy Laboratory (GELL) opened in 2012 after a six-year effort. It is the first 15,000 square foot sedum and native plant green roof in a New York City public school. The outdoor learning space has been a great resource for students of all grade levels since its opening. From Kindergarten "listening walk" tours to upper-grade green roof STEM model-making projects, students have benefited greatly.
